Over the course of the last five decades, the Star Wars franchise has produced a plethora of quotable lines from both movies and TV series. Some have been repeated several times within the saga itself by characters who the world has grown to know and love. While most of these quoteshave been popping up in the movies since the beginning, some are more recent and have grown vastly popular through social media and merchandising.

I Have Spoken
The first live-action series set in the Star Wars universe, The Mandalorian brought to life many memorable characters. Among them was the helpful Ugnaught called Kuiil, who assisted Din Djarin in first getting to the facility holding his bounty, then in retrieving the much-needed parts of his ship that were stripped and stolen by a group of local Jawas. Not one to mince words, Kuiil would say all that he needed to and end the conversation with "I have spoken", meaning there would be no debate on the matter at hand.
The Force Is Strong
First uttered in the original Star Wars,A New Hope,in 1977, Darth Vader could sense the pilot of the X-wing he was targeting. "The Force is strong with this one," he observed, unaware at the time he was sensing his own son. It was spoken again when the two faced each other in a lightsaber duel in Cloud City toward the end of The Empire Strikes Backwhen he stated, "The Force is strong with you, young Skywalker, but you are not a Jedi yet." The phrase is spoken numerous other times throughout the films and series as well.
Utini!
The very first aliens seen on screen in the Star Wars universe are the Jawas in A New Hope. Since then, the diminutive, hooded scavengers have shown up in several films and TV series, always with their signature cry of "Utini!" Best known for capturing C-3PO and R2-D2 after their narrow escape from The Empire (and then selling said droids to the Lars moisture farm), the Jawas went on the appear in Return of the Jedi and The Phantom Menace. Fans got to know them even better on the first season of The Mandalorian.
A Long Time Ago In A Galaxy Far, Far Away
"A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away..." is another quotethat originated with A New Hope, and fans now know that when these words show up on the screen, they're in for a treat. Since 1977, this text has appeared in every Star Wars movie.

The Dark Side
The dark side of The Force was described best by Yoda in The Empire Strikes Back,when he said it was "easier, more seductive". He explained it further in The Phantom Menace with "Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering...". Throughout the saga, the dark side of The Force is what drives the villains. From Darth Maul to Darth Vader and The Emporer, whether giving into it or fully embracing it, the dark side is what drives the story forward and ultimately leads others to rebel and fight against its users.
I'm Fluent In Over 6 Million Forms Of Communication
Spoken first in A New Hope, theline "I'm fluent in over 6 million forms of communication" is heard several times from protocol droid C-3PO whenever he introduces himself through the movies and series. This is most often met with rolled eyes or an interruption before the poor droid can get his entire thought out. Still, he never hesitates to boast about his vast grasp of language from all across the galaxy (even though the language of the Sith had to be unlocked through a back ally hack in The Rise of Skywalker).
Join Me
Darth Vader said askedLuke to "join [him]" in The Empire Strikes Back, with visions of ruling the galaxy as father and son. Luke, having just found out his father was a member of the evil Sith, instead decided to take his chances with a plunge into an exhaust shaft. Kylo Ren was equallypersistent when trying to convince Rey to join him in both The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker. Then there was season seven of The Clone Wars, which sawDarth Maul urge Ahsoka to join him in fighting Anakin as he turned to the dark side.
This Is The Way
The Mandalorian brought Star Wars fans many memorable moments, not the least of which was the motto Din and other members of the Children of the Watch, a group of Mandalorian extremists.

Devoted to the creed of the Mandalorian, Din repeated this motto often throughout the series but he eventually bentthe rules when it wasthe only way he couldsave Grogu from the clutches of The Empire. Still, "This is the way" always allowsviewers to better understand Din and his clan.
I Have A Bad Feeling About This
Said twice in A New Hope, "I have a bad feeling about this" went on to be a running joke throughout all of the movies. Most of the time theline was given to Han Solo but it has also been said by Leia and C-3PO in the original trilogy, Obi-Wan and Anakan in the prequel trilogy, and again by Han, BB8, and Lando in the sequels. The line is teased by K-2SO before he's interrupted by Cassian in Rogue One, and is altered by a young Han when he takes control of The Flacon in Solo and states, "I have a good feeling about this."
May The Force Be With You
Perhaps the most recognized phrase from all of Star Wars lore, "May the Force be with you" has become synonymous with the franchise as a whole. Said first by Obi-Wan Kenobi in A New Hope, the phrase would go on to be repeated by most characters in the saga. Though it originated with the Jedi, it has also been used to inspire hope when entering battle by Han as Luke took to his X-wing to face the first Death Star and by Jyn Erso to her squadron, as they embarked on their mission to steal the Death Star plans on Scarif in Rogue One.
